Is there a minimum order for furniture hire?

Expo Hire does not set a minimum order value for furniture hire. Delivery and collection charges depend on postcode, vehicle size and access, so small orders can cost more per item than bigger hires. You can also collect from the depot if that suits your event.

How many chairs do I need for 100 guests?

Start with one chair per confirmed guest, then add 5 to 10 spare chairs for late changes, suppliers or extra staff. For 100 guests, most planners hire 105 to 110 chairs. If you are running cabaret or classroom layouts, check the floor plan before you lock the quantity.

What is the difference between Chiavari chairs and folding chairs?

Chiavari chairs suit weddings, banquets and awards dinners where the room needs a dressed finish. Folding chairs work well for ceremonies, backstage areas and quick turnaround events because crews can move and stack them fast. Your choice comes down to look, budget and setup time.

Do I need to clean hire furniture before return?

You do not need to deep clean hired furniture before collection. Clear food, tape and decorations, and wipe off spills so the crew can load it back without damage. We charge for heavy soiling, burns or damage that takes items out of stock.

Can I hire furniture overnight?

Yes. Most Expo Hire orders cover delivery before the event and collection after it, so overnight use is standard. If the venue has a short access window or a multi-day programme, tell us when you book so the schedule matches the site rules.

How far in advance should I book event furniture?

Book as soon as you know the date, venue and numbers. For summer weekends, December events and large exhibitions, four to eight weeks gives you the best choice of styles and quantities. Popular chair ranges can sell out sooner on peak dates.

No security deposit
