Our range of serving utensils for hire have been created to help ensure you've got everything you need to serve food at your next event or occasion.
If you’re serving food at your event or special occasion, there is every possibility you will need some kind of serving utensils to do so. We’ve tried to think of everything you could need to help you make your event go smoothly.
There are actually many different kinds of serving utensils available for all kinds of use.
Carving knives and forks are essential if meat is being served, and can be used either in the kitchen or at the table. Carving knives are longer than standard knives and are designed to easily cut meat into aesthetically pleasing slices, while the carving fork holds the meat in place. Wedding cake knives are similar in size but are prettier so that they look nice in photos at a wedding reception.
Cheese knives are shorter and have a fork shape on the end to pick up cheese. The blade on the cheese knife is designed to cut through hard cheese without need for sawing.
Serving tongs and serving spoons are great for buffets to allow guests to serve themselves. These can either be plastic or stainless steel, depending on the type of food being served.
Cleaning cutlery after a big function is not only a boring job but is also the time when cutlery is most likely to get lost while on hire.
It’s the main reason why we have made it compulsory for all cutlery items to have the send it back dirty option added at checkout. All a customer needs to do is to ensure that all food debris is scraped off cutlery before it’s repacked ready for collection.
We clean and check all of our speciality cutlery for hire before we pack them ready for shipping. All of our cutlery hire is packed in branded boxes, making it easy to store and pack away ready for return.
There’s no need to worry about a damage deposit when placing an event hire order with Expo Hire. Instead, we run a free minor damage waiver scheme to cover minor damage or loss, so you don’t need to worry if you break the odd glass or plate. We do charge for excessive or negligent loss or damage at 10x the hire price. Please check our terms and conditions for full details.
