Hire cleaning equipment for catering events: glass washers, washing-up bowls and general cleaning supplies. Available for all event sizes.
Expo Hire stocks cleaning equipment for events that generate large volumes of glassware and crockery. The range includes commercial glass washers, glass wash tanks, washing-up equipment and cleaning accessories. Keeping up with glasswash during a busy service is one of the more overlooked logistics challenges, and the right equipment makes a significant difference to how smoothly the evening runs.
Commercial glass washers complete a full wash cycle in 90 to 120 seconds per rack. A single machine handles 600 to 800 glasses per hour, which is sufficient for a bar serving up to around 150 to 200 people at a steady pace. For events with peaks in service, or where the bar runs at capacity for long periods, a second machine is worth including in the kit.
Glass wash tanks are the manual alternative. A heated tank with chemical dosing keeps glasses clean where a machine is not practical, either because of drainage constraints or because the event size does not justify a full machine. They work well for smaller pop-up bars and outdoor events where mains drainage is limited.
Washing-up bowls, racks, brushes and drying equipment complete the cleaning setup for crockery. A temporary kitchen or catering area without a fixed dishwasher needs manual washing kit as a fallback. Glass cloths and polishing cloths are available from the cloths and towels range.
Any event using hired glassware and crockery needs a glasswash plan. Without one, glasses run out mid-service. A glass washer turns glasses around in under two minutes, meaning a sensible hire quantity can cover far more covers than the raw glass count suggests.
Outdoor bars at festivals, garden parties and beer festivals all benefit from a glass washer rather than manual washing. The throughput is faster and the results are more consistent throughout a long service.
Wedding venues without a commercial dishwasher need cleaning equipment for the catering operation. A glass washer handles the bar glasses while manual washing covers the crockery, or vice versa, depending on what other equipment is available on site.
Glass washers require a mains water connection, a drain and a 13A or 16A power supply. Connection requirements are listed on individual product pages. Chemical detergent and rinse aid are available alongside the machine. Expo Hire delivers cleaning equipment across England and Wales. Book at least a week ahead for events using a full glass washer.
