The London Borough of Merton is a borough located in southwest London. It was formed in 1965 from various boroughs that were formerly within the county of Surrey. The main commercial centres in Merton are Mitcham, Morden and Wimbledon. The borough is home to the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, which hosts The Championships (more commonly known by the metonym Wimbledon) every year. Merton was also the backdrop for the former ITV police drama The Bill, with much filming done in the areas around Mitcham and Colliers Wood.
We're proud to deliver event hire to venues throughout Merton. Some of the items we can deliver include:
Merton Table Hire
Table hire comes in a wide range of heights and sizes to match all kinds of occasions. We’ve built a large range with everything from traditional trestle tables all the way up to designer meeting tables for those elite meeting spaces – all delivered throughout the Edgware, Harrow and Middlesex areas seven days a week.
There are three basic types of table to choose from when looking through our furniture hire catalogue, with each table right for a different kind of setting. For example, coffee tables work best with sofas and armchairs, suiting relaxed meeting spaces and breakout areas. Cocktail tables or poseur tables as they are often called are tall and work best with bar stools. These can also be used for stand-up style meetings, with their small diameter allowing them to fit in a small footprint like an exhibition stand.
In the middle are banqueting tables, which are one of our most frequently hired product. These are designed for sitting and eating at and are often hired for functions such as weddings and banquets. They come in different shapes and sizes, enabling customers to choose which best fits their event space. Our product pages will advise how many can sit around each and suggest the best size of linen for each.
Merton Barrier Hire
There are many different styles of barrier hire, which work for a number of different spaces and setups. We have three main types available which are ropes and posts, tensabarriers and picket fences.
Rope and post barrier hire is often used for events where a VIP space needs to be sectioned off, for example a red carpet entrance area. While the ropes and posts cordon off space, they are more for decorative value than any kind of security.
We offer rope barrier hire in a multitude of colours, as well as both chrome and gold-coloured metal posts. Ropes have a clip at each end to allow them to be attached to posts. These clips can also be in chrome and gold-coloured configurations.
Tensabarriers don’t have quite the same VIP look like ropes and posts do but are a bit more secure and are great for constructing queueing areas. Each tensabarrier post comes with a 2m retractable tape which can be attached to another tensabarrier, which can quickly be put together to section off space.
Our picket fences for hire are a great decorative way of sectioning space into areas and are particularly useful for big festivals and exhibitions. Our fences are painted white and are free-standing in supplied “feet” but cannot be linked to each other.
Merton Fridge Hire
When drinks and food need to be kept chilled it’s essential to have some sort of refrigeration on hand. We work with all kinds of commercial kitchens as well as with events and functions throughout North London to help with fridge hire needs. Our expert drivers frequently deliver fridges for hire to venues throughout the area, helping to make sure that event organisers don’t need to worry about keeping food and drinks cold.
We have a large variety of fridges for hire available at Expo Hire London. For example, the upright display fridges we offer are one of our most frequently hired products, going out on hire to places from huge exhibitions at ExCeL London to small local functions. We also have available double door bottle coolers which are perfect for use as an under-counter fridge at pop-up bars. For those of our customers who require more specialist products, we also have wine fridges, countertop fridges and chilled drink dispensers available.
We know from experience that commercial kitchens need space to not only store and chill food but also to prepare food. To meet this demand, we stock counter fridges with integrated workspaces which can be moved quickly into position with ease. At the other end of the spectrum, our extra large double door fridges are just what is needed for kitchens with large storage requirements.
Merton Barbecue Hire
Getting food going at a big outdoor event or function can be really easy with the right equipment in place. While a garden party can make do with just a standard bbq, we know that for our commercial customers, commercial barbecue hire is essential.
[PRODUCT_GRID]
The barbecues for hire we have on offer have been selected with large outdoor functions in mind and are easily capable of feeding hundreds of guests. The Cinders barbecue is an industry standard barbecue which features things such as two separate cooking areas, allowing for meat and vegetarian menus to be cooked simultaneously without any fear of cross-contamination. We also stock gas bottles and wrenches so customers can be sure they have everything they need to get going quickly.
