The Iron House is an event space in the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham which caters to weddings, corporate events and celebrations. The building is steeped in history; the earliest records of The Lambourne dates back to a pawnhouse being run by a Miss Ann Webb in 1850. Mackey Charles opened his brass foundry in what is now the atrium gallery which sold hosiery, jewellery and sundries. In the 20th century the building had a variety of occupations as the Jewellery Quarter evolved as an area, going from a factory in World War II to help the war effort to an underground nightclub complete with the whole building being painted black.
Nowadays the Iron House is a venue whose mission is to enable and empower the local community to utilise its unique environment. There are a variety of spaces available for events throughout the venue, from the Gallery and Lounge Bars to three beautiful spaces which can hold a variety of events. Downstairs, the basement is equipped with mood lighting and seating to make a novel space for client presentations, art installations among other functions.

Linen for hire might seem like an expensive afterthought when planning an event on a budget, but it does play a huge part in improving the way an event looks and feels. Weddings are a prime example of this; linen covering tables and chairs can help to match colours chosen and turn a space from good into great. Even plain black or white linen for hire can be an important choice, as using it on banqueting tables instantly improves how professional the event looks.
At Expo Hire Birmingham, we offer linen in varying shapes, sizes and colours to help ensure that we’ve got the tablecloths for hire that you need regardless of the size tables you have at your event.

We’ve utilised our experience of linen hire to make the hiring process as easy and painless as possible. All the linen product pages list which size tables each individual piece of linen fits, and how much “drop” can be expected on that table. We’ve also added linen hire suggestions to our table product pages to help customers order them simultaneously to prevent errors.
There’s no need to worry about finding equipment to serve hot or cold food and drinks at your next event or special occasion. Our range of catering equipment hire offers a range of solutions to meet almost all customer requirements at a cost which won’t break the bank.
Keeping food warm ready for service isn’t an issue with a hot cupboard. Our mobile hot cupboards are easy to move into action and have plain, bain marie and heated gantry options to give you choice in how you wish to setup. If it’s a self-service buffet, then our chafing dishes are a simple and easy to set up solution.
We stock a great range of fridges too. For under counter spaces such as temporary bars, our double door bottle coolers are ideal; while our upright glass cabinet fridges are just what you need to keep food and drink cold and allow your guests to see what they want without needlessly holding the door open. We even stock specialist wine fridges.
All our electrical equipment is cleaned, checked and PAT tested prior to dispatch for your peace of mind. PAT test confirmation can be found on the sticker attached to the plug.
