Hebden Bridge is a market town in the Upper Calder Valley in Calderdale, West Yorkshire. It is situated about eight miles west of Halifax and about 14 miles northeast of Rochdale. The arrival of the Industrial Revolution allowed much of the marshland in the Upper Calder Valley to be drained, allowing a road to be built through the valley.
